My name is Tiffany Ward Powers. I am the owner of Books by Design. I am a native of the West Georgia area, graduating from Temple High School in 2006. As a kid, I always said that if I won the lottery, I would come back to my hometown and build a library. The whole notion is pretty ironic because I don’t even play the lottery, but I digress. Needless to say, as a recent college graduate (Go Dawgs!), I couldn’t quite swing the whole build a library thing, but it led me to start thinking about the next best thing… a used bookstore called Books by Design.
I opened Books by Design in August of 2010 and have been running it ever since! My precious puppy, Doodle, is really The Boss… he comes to the store with me almost everyday and helps me run the place. Most of the people who visit the bookstore know him by name, and if I didn’t know better, I’d say they like visiting with him more than they like chatting me with me!
I’d like to officially invite you to stop by Books by Design, so we can meet in person. I’m always up for a good chat about reading and puppy raising or whatever suits your fancy! Until then, let me leave you with a trail to a few of my favorite things…
